Emme Kemp is All Music! From Chicago born prodigy, to three years military woman, to Broadway composer, performer “Bubblin Brown Sugar.” Kemp recorded with Ragtime piano master Eubie Blake after coaching with the eminent pianist Egon Petri.
She toured with the National Company of Lorraine Hansbury’s musical “Raisin.” Emme Kemp collaborated with educational theater professor Dr. Milton Polsky on the historic escape journey to freedom by Virginia's Henry "Box Brown". She portrayed the ebullient jam session pianist in Woody Allen’s Film, “Sweet and Lowdown.”Her original musical concepts brighten visual media from “Captain Kangaroo” to PBS mini documentary on the timeless Emme Kemp. She has received recognition awards from the National Endowment for the Arts and from Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry. Emme Kemp continues celebrating fifty Golden years dancing on the keys.
